Monterey Bay Academy, established in 1949, is a coeducational Christian boarding school. First of all, we believe in God, the inerrancy of the Bible, and that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Your spiritual life at MBA will include opportunities to participate in worship services, go on retreats, and Mission Trips. Our Mission Trips have taken students as far as Brazil! In the classroom, our Religion courses connect timeless Biblical truths with the issues faced by contemporary Christians in everyday life. Furthermore, our academics are first-rate. The courses we have available will not only prepare you for university studies, but also the modern workplace. Classes range from Spanish and Algebra to Aviation and Graphics Technology. We have our own private beach, where students enjoy surfing, or simply hanging out and enjoying the gorgeous Pacific sunset (yet another testimony to our Lord’s glory, we might add).

Our campus life includes a full complement of both intramural and interscholastic athletics. We believe that your athletic endeavors, whether you’re the champ or simply an enthusiastic participant, are where you develop your leadership, teamwork, and sense of sportsmanship and fair play. Christian boarding school students, both male and female, enjoy athletic activities ranging from jogging and skateboarding to flag football and soccer.

Monterey Bay Academy hosts competitions and our teams attend a variety of tournaments throughout the year. In MBA classrooms, dorms, and the cafeteria, our students learn the balance between cooperation and competition — and on the athletic field, MBA students apply those lessons in exciting and dynamic environments.

So what happens after graduation? Will you lose contact with your classmates and other dear friends from the Monterey Bay Academy family? Not at all! Au contraire, you will expand your MBA contacts to include grads of years past.

One hundred percent of our seniors are accepted into 4-year colleges.  Every fourth weekend in April is Alumni Weekend. Alumni Association members will be able to network with fellow MBA grads in a variety of professions. You’ll strengthen old friendships and make many new MBA friends.
